Fotoshop, Adobe

One of the things I love most about being behind the camera is the fact that I am in the position to show people in their best light... I love knowing that I'm going to take photos that they will look at and cherish and enjoy for years to come.

I also love knowing that if they have a blemish on the day of the shoot I can photoshop it out.

But there is a lot of over-photoshopping that happens in the industry - the media is not interested in selling us reality, you know (reality doesn't sell nearly as well as fantasy) and so we move through our daily lives thinking that beauty is Perfection... impossible-to-have-unless-you-are-a-millionaire-with-a-friendly-photoshop-expert-by-your-photographers-side-at-all-times-Perfection... and it's hard to ignore.

I saw this the other day and thought it was hilariously on point in its message.  Please watch it, laugh, and think about your own beauty perceptions.  You do NOT have to look like a model to be beautiful.  In fact, you probably can't look like a model, because even models don't like like models... in which case you could say that we're ALL undiscovered models - just waiting for our own dose of Fotoshop, Adobe.

And that's worth thinking about.
